Dentures are prosthetic devices constructed to replace the missing teeth and are supported by the surrounding soft and hard tissues of oral cavity.

There are two types of dentures-

​

1)Fixed dentures-also known as non removable dentures are basically orthodontist denture devices that consist of row of prosthetic teeth connected to a framework that is held in position by dental implants.

2)removable dentures-they can be easily removed by the patient and is made by taking support of your soft tissues like rigdes and frenum.

While removable dentures don't stop bone loss there is a way to permanently replace full set of teeth and prevent bone loss as well i.e implant supported dentures that are fixed in your mouth.
